And people are turning to Pinterest to share ideas—42 percent have a holiday-themed board (cnbc.com). Make sure you have the “pin it” button on your site so you can capture potential shoppers.
Implementing a social media campaign is a fun way to reach out to your customers and fans/followers/friends. Bed Bath & Beyond is running a ‘Holiday Your Way’ sweeps and 50 instant win prizes and a chance to win a shopping spree. They promote this contest via their social media pages. However, you can also run contests threw your social media outlets—such as ‘instagramming’ your best wrapped present or creating a hashtag and encouraging followers to share a story or tradition and the staff favorite wins the prize.
