On Wednesday, October 16, 2013, Logicbroker’s CEO, Peyman Zamani, was honored as a speaker at “Jobs and the Economy: A Breakfast with Governor Dannel P. Malloy.” The event was put on by the Business Council of Fairfield County and held in honor of the second anniversary of the “Jobs Bill,” allowing the governor to address the progress that the bill has made as well as the work that still needs to be done. Logicbroker was among a select group of companies invited to speak about their uses of the bill.

“Today we have 17 employees and 8 new positions currently posted to be filled over the next 2 months,” stated Zamani. “That’s 25 well-paying jobs with competitive salary, bonus, stock option, and health benefits in Connecticut that wouldn’t exist without the assistance we’ve received from the state.”

The “Jobs Bill” was created in October of 2011 to address the twenty year period of stagnant job growth in the State of Connecticut. Approved by the General Assembly, $626 million was produced for workforce development, innovation and economic growth.

“With the changes in the last couple of years, for the first time being in Connecticut has proven to be a great advantage,” said Zamani. “And I want to thank the governor for his efforts and leadership.”

This past year, Logicbroker, with the help of the state’s innovation ecosystem and CT Next, has closed a Series A Round with a Connecticut Innovations lead, accessed resources such as attorneys and accountants with vouchers from CT Next, and participated in the Technology Talent Bridge. Through the Technology Talent Bridge, Logicbroker received funding for three interns from Southern Connecticut State University who played a major role in developing the web portal that is used by several hundred trading partners.

The growing companies of Connecticut, including Logicbroker, will continue their partnership with the state to leverage existing programs and create new ones. Through these partnerships, Connecticut can position itself as one of the best states for high tech companies to grow.
